The WASH program spearheaded by ICD focuses on improving access to clean water and sanitation facilities, which are critical for maintaining public health in Somalia. Key activities within this program include the construction and rehabilitation of water assets, such as boreholes and water distribution points, ensuring communities have reliable access to potable water. Furthermore, the program addresses sanitation challenges through latrine construction and the distribution of hygiene kits, which contain essential items like soap and sanitary supplies. By promoting good hygiene practices and improving sanitation infrastructure, ICD aims to reduce waterborne diseases and contribute to overall community health and well-being.
